Summary: A fisherman arrives in the city. The Gap Sensor sounds, but the team finds no Nighlok in sight. The team reports back to Ji. The fisherman shoots an arrow at the Shiba house, with a note that says ‘see you soon.’ Ji explains that the Shiba house is protected by defensive symbols.

Jayden senses something in the house (a dark-mist-seeing-eye is following him). Jayden splashes water on his face, then no longer senses a presence.

Investigating the Gap Sensor, Kevin, Mia, Mike and Emily encounter a fish-seller whose hand writing matches the note. They confront the fish-seller, but he runs away. Ji informs them that Jayden has gone to Spring Valley on his own. Kevin and Mia go to find Jayden while Mike and Emily track down the fish-seller.

On the Junk in the Netherworld, Nighlok Vulpes is spying on Jayden through his Enchanted Eye (mirror), waiting to see Jayden practice the Sealing Symbol. But Jayden suddenly vanishes using a Power Symbol, so Vulpes goes to find him. Vulpes shows up in Spring Valley. The Lion Zord takes Vulpes’ mirror from him, and Red Ranger springs from out of the water and confronts the Nighlok. Blue and Pink Rangers arrive. Red Ranger destroys the mirror. Green and Yellow Rangers join the others. Vulpes uses the Rangers’ sword slash attacks against them using his Mirror spells to reflect back and copy their slash attacks and defeats them. The fisherman shows himself and morphs into the Gold Ranger and takes on Moogers and Vulpes alone. Gold Ranger destroys Vulpes, but Vulpes returns giant. The Rangers form the Battlewing Megazord. Gold Ranger summons the Octozord. Vulpes is destroyed by the Octozord and the Battlewing Megazord.

The fisherman is Jayden’s childhood friend Antonio. When they were kids, Jayden had given Antonio the Octozord as a going-away present.
