Episode 36 – “A Crack In The World”

Written by Seth Walther
Japanese episode written by Yasuko Kobayashi
Directed by Nobuhiro Suzumura and Akihiro Noguchi

Summary: Serrator’s plan is finally revealed. Planning to rule both worlds, Serrator has been forming a line of human misery in the Earth with his attacks. Serrator sends Pestilox to place the final wedge in the Earth to complete his plan of cracking it open and flooding the Earth. But once the final wedge is in place, Serrator needs Deker to deliver the final strike.

Serrator retrieves Uramasa and it is finally repaired. Pestilox finds the spot to place the final wedge and attacks some humans with his flying stomach bugs. The Rangers intercept Pestilox but Serrator appears. Pestilox is destroyed. Deker shows up and demands Serrator to give him Uramasa as promised. Serrator tells him that in order to complete the deal, he owes him one final favor, one final strike with his sword Uramasa to shatter the world. Serrator shows him Uramasa but Deker refuses to deliver the final strike and explains that he only wants Uramasa. So Serrator doesn’t hand over Uramasa and explains to him that his centuries of misery and rage were locked up in his sword Uramasa and the only way to release himself from all that pain is for him to quickly take his sword and strike before the wedge explodes. With one quick slash, Deker’s curse will finally be broken. Energy surges from the ground. Serrator now must look for the weakest spot between their two worlds for Deker to make his final strike…
